The tables were turned around for Shahid Kapoor last year ever since he mesmerized many with his performance in Haider. The actor bagged all the awards including Filmfare best actor male for the same and has come back with a bang.Sasha is all set to be seen opposite Alia Bhatt in Vikas Bahl’s Shandaar. The actor reportedly has also signed Udta Punjab which will star his ex-flame Kareena Kapoor Khan. Where Shahid’s Haider was a hit last year, Aamir Khan- Anushka Sharma’s PK and Kangana Ranaut’s Queen also took the nation by a storm with their grand success. PK might have been the highest grossing film last year, but Haider rules the IMDB charts as of now.

Sonakshi Sinha tries to ‘strangle’ Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha bonded like best buddies at the launch of BMW hybrid sports car i8 in Mumbai.

The two were linked up during the making of their film R…Rajkumar. The chemistry between them was so awesome that they would joke openly and on some occasions Sonakshi would pretend slapping Shahid and he would kiss the slap (recreating a scene from the film).

Now, a bit of that chemistry was rekindled at the BMW launch event in Mumbai.

Sonakshi Sinha feigned strangling Shahid Kapoor and he was a full sport. The two chatted, laughed and bonded like best friends.

Kareena Kapoor on working with ex-beau Shahid Kapoor and why she hasn’t watched ‘AIB Roast’

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor will soon be seen in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ opposite Salman Khan and ‘Udta Punjab’.
‘Udta Punjab’ has everyone curious since Kareena will be working with none other than former flame Shahid Kapoor. But, Kareena clarified that the duo will not exactly share screen space in the film which also stars Alia Bhatt and Ayushmann Khurrana. “Ya, I know everyone is saying we are back but the movie is like American Hustle. Everyone has different tracks in the film and we aren’t going to be sharing screen space. But yes, good to be working with Shahid, he has really evolved as an actor,” said Kareena in an interview to NDTV.
On being asked about reuniting with ‘Bodyguard’ co-star Salman Khan, Kareena said, “People are excited to see me and Salman but the catch here is Kabir Khan. You would see Salman in a never before role and honestly, I am as excited as the audience.”

Kareena, who was in New Delhi for the launch of a new range of ice cream, stayed clear off the whole All India Bakchod controversy. When asked if she had watched the AIB roast of Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, she said, “Oh no please, I really have no interest in watching it.”
She further added, “India has better and far more important things to worry about than AIB.”

When Shahid Kapoor And Sonakshi Sinha Came Face To Face

It’s Bollywood’s first destination wedding film and the two actors have constantly been giving us an insight of their crackling chemistry by sharing adorable selfies on Twitter. Shahid Kapoor plays a wedding planner in ‘Shaandar

Everyone knows that Vikas Bahl’s Shaandar is about a destination wedding where lead actors Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt meet.
But apparently Kapoor is playing a wedding planner in the film who plans a destination wedding in England. The film also has an interesting cast comprising Pankaj Kapur, Karan Johar, Sanjay Kapoor, Anjana Sukhani and Sanah Kapur. Produced by Johar’s Dharma
Productions and Phantom Films, it is slated to release later this year. We messaged the director for a confirmation but he did not revert to our message.

Shahid Kapoor suggested Kareena's name for Udta Punjab

Bollywood's ex-lovers have no qualms about sharing the screen space anymore. After seeing Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone's sizzling chemistry in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, another couple is gearing up to share the screen space once gain. Kareena Kapoor will reunite with ex-lover Shaid Kapoor in Abhishek Chaubey's next Udta Punjab. But not many know that her name was suggested by none other than Shahid for the film.

Shahid Kapoor suggested Kareena's name for Udta Punjab Talking to a leading daily, Shahid said, "I was the first to suggest that Kareena was perfect for this role. I respect her as an actress. I'm happy she is living a good life. So am I."

 

 

However, Shahid will not romance Kareena in the film. He will be seen opposite Alia Bhatt, with whom he is also cast in Shandaar. Apparently Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh will star opposite Kareena.
Shahid was offered the film during Haider promotions and the role lured him to take up the project. "Abhishek wasn't looking to cast any stars but after seeing the 'Haider' promos, they probably thought I might agree to do 'Udta Punjab' though I was apologetically told it was nothing like anything I'd done before. That was a lure. As soon as I heard the narration, I told Abhishek that he wasn't going to anyone else and got the biggest hug from Anurag Kashyap."
 

Kareena Kapoor will apparently romance Diljit Dosanjh in Udta Punjab
Abhishey Chaubey, director of the movie, will leave for Punjab this weekend to finalise locations and the movie will go on floors by the end of February. Currently, the team is working on the look of the four lead actors.
Udta Punjab starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, deals with the growing drug addiction in the state.
