Saif Ali Khan Out, Shahid Kapoor In

2014’s one of the best Bollywood films, ‘Haider’ actor Shahid Kapoor steps into Saif Ali Khan’s shoes in Reema Kagti’s film ‘Mr. Chaalu’. Earlier, Saif Ali Khan was supposed to play the lead in the film but now recent reports suggest that Kareena’s ex-lover, Shahid Kapoor has replaced the actor.

The makers of the film approached Shahid Kapoor for the lead role after Saif Ali Khan walked out of the project. Apparently, Saif had some remuneration issues with co- producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

Reportedly actor Shahid Kapoor recently got a narration. He responded positively to the story as it’s the kind of character that he hasn’t done in a while. The makers are now locking the dates for workshops that will start soon. The makers of ‘Mr. Chaalu’ want to put the project on floors as soon as they can. After Saif left the film, their priority was to get the hero in place. With Shahid‘s nod of approval, the film will finally kick off now.
Shahid and Kangana Ranaut will be sharing the screen space for the very first time together. ‘Haider’ actor will be playing a role of a womaniser in the film ‘Mr. Chaalu’, whereas Kangana will play the role of his lady love interest in the movie.

Apart from Shahid and Kangana, Pooja and Richa Chadda will also play a crucial role in the film ‘Mr. Chaalu’. Let’s hope the film goes to floor soon, now that the star cast of the film is decided.
