Getting married by the end of this year: Shahid Kapoor

Marriage is on the cards sometimes towards the end of the year. I refrain from getting into details. I hope you respect that. I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media, so I am doing this," Shahid, 34, told reporters at an event here.Without divulging further details about his impending wedding and his would-be bride, the actor said he would like everyone to treat them like any other normal couple.

"Other than that I am just a normal guy and she is a normal girl. We should treat it like something that is normal and regular. And I am very happy to announce this," said the actor, who is currently busy shooting "Udta Punjab".
Shahid was earlier in a long term relationship with actress Kareena Kapoor till their split in 2007.

Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khattar already comforting future 'bhabhi' Mira Rajput!

  Actor Shahid Kapoor’s fiancé Mira Rajput, who has no connect with Bollywood, has got a friend in Shahid’s kid brother Ishaan Khattar, who is making her familiar to his family and the showbiz world.

A source close to them said that Mira has befriended with Ishaan and he is making her aware about Shahid and his schedule. The two are in touch with each other via texting.

Source also revealed that as they belong to the same age group they bond well.

Mira is a student of Lady Sri Ram College in Delhi. She is completing her English Honours.

However, Shahid has confirmed that he is getting married in December, but has not revealed the girl’s name

Shahid Kapoor trying too hard for Kareena Kapoor's 'Udta Punjab'

Shahid Kapoor always makes sure that no stone unturned is left as he tries to get into the skin of his character in a film. The actor who has kick started the shooting or 'Udta Punjab' has reportedly been doing hit and trials for his role.
The actor is trying too hard to fit into the character and therefore has gone through around 15 looks for the film.
The Abhishek Chaubey directorial has got Shahid in one of his toughest on screen character. At least that's what this Bollywood starlet himself has accepted.
As he held to a fierce look trial, Shahid Kapoor went for a ponytail look, then a coloured hairdo, and then a messy-grungy look amongst a dense bearded look and many others. While the actor seems defining a great level field for himself through the film, it also seems that he is no mood to shed his 'Haider' winning crown.
Shahid has also been deemed to have gone rigorous fitness training for his respective portrayal in the film.
'Udta Punjab' also stars Alia Bhatt and Shahid's former muse Kareena Kapoor Khan apart from Daljit Dosanjh and Shahid Kapoor.

The 'Haider' star recently took to Twitter and tweeted about his latest addiction. Well, any guesses? No, it's not about any of his loving ladies, but caffeine.

Five Things We Loved About Shahid Kapoor In Dubai!

Shahid Kapoor was in Dubai last week for the launch of British menswear brand, Hawes and Curtis. The superstar who just won our hearts and a Filmfare for his stellar performane in Haider spoke to Masala about his upcoming projects like Shaandaar and Udta Punjab, his co-star Alia Bhatt and even his siblings making a foray into Bollywood. Here’s the stuff we loved about him after our little chat.
1)      He is going back to Punjab for the shoot of Udta Punjab which also co-stars Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor. This is exciting news for his fans who loved him in Jab We Met which was also shot there.
2)      He is learning a thing or two about acting from his younger siblings. Shahid’s sister Sanah makes her debut with Shandar and his brother Ishaan is also rumored to be acting soon and Shahid told us that all his siblings have literally grown up on his sets and are quite confident about themselves.
3)      He adores Alia Bhatt and finds her evolution as an actress very impressive. No wonder the two are working on Shandar as well as Udta Punjab together.
4)      Shahid confessed that he found the Shakespearean mother-daughter relationship in Haider extremely challenging but Tabu made it easier by supporting him in each emotional scene and being excellent with her own part as well.
5)      Although we couldn’t stop raving about his new haircut, Shahid is actually in the process of reinventing his look yet again for his next movie. He shared with us his love for well-tailored suits and stylish clothes that sum up his fashion mantra.

Finally shooting of Shahid Kapoor‘s much anticipated film Udta Punjab begins! The shooting of Abhishek Chaubey‘s Udta Punjab started in Punjab today. The hard working actor, who just wrapped up his upcoming film Shaandar, moved on to his other project without taking a break! 
Haider star Shahid, took to his Instagram account to share the news with his fans. The actor shared a picture of Director Abhishek Chaubey with clapshot. Shahid captioned the picture, “UDTA PUNJAB takes off . This ones special . Wish us luck guys . It’s a tough tough film . We need your love .

In the film, Shahid will be seen romancing with Highway actress Alia Bhatt. The star who made the tough roles look like a piece of cake with his hard work, earlier revealed that he is scared of his upcoming project Udta Punjab. Shahid revealed that his role in the film happens to be the most challenging roles of his career.

Directed by Abhishek Chaubey, the thriller film is based on drug trafficking in Punjab. In Udta Punjab, Shahid Kapoor will be sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt for the second time. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan.
