And, now it was the turn of film’s third lead Shahid Kapoor to visit the place. The actor was spotted outside the house wearing casual black outfit. Looks like finally things are on track for this epic saga after months of ruckus related to its star cast and their roles. There were various reports of Ranveer Singh unhappy with his role and wanted Shahid Kapoor to be billed just as guest appearance, which obviously can’t be possible as he is playing the husband of titular character of Rani Padmavati to be portrayed by Deepika Padukone. When looked like everything is settling down, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali had run into troubled waters, with Hardik Patel, president of Patel Navnirman Sena demanding assurance that the film will be based on facts, otherwise they won’t let the film release anywhere. Hardik Patel told a leading daily, “Rajasthan-based Rajput Sena’s members met me and informed that SLB has not studied the history, and could damage the image of Rani Padmavati. So, we’ve informed him to stop the production of the film and hold discussions with Rajput leaders before he begins shooting,”. 
“Bhansali should give assurance of not damaging Rani Padmavati’s image, or else Patidar Navnirman Sena will hold protests against the movie across the country, and will not give permission for the film to release in Rajasthan. No director has the right to damage history for entertainment,” Patel added.

Mosquito breeding case against Shahid Kapoor

A day after serving notice to Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor over breeding spots of aedes aegypti mosquito (which can spread dengue, chikungunya among other illnesses) in the actor’s private swimming pool at his residence in Juhu Tara Road area mosquito, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will file a case against him for not abiding by its rules.

BMC’s Executive Health officer Padmaja Keskar said, “We are not going to wait for the actor’s response to our notice. We are moving ahead for action [such as collection of fine] against him and would file a court case.”

The civic body on Friday served a notice to Shahid Kapoor under Section 381-B of Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888, seeking his explanation.

Ms. Keskar said not only against the film star, court cases are also being filed against all those whose premises were found housing mosquito-breeding spots.

The civic body, since January 1 this year, has filed 927 cases in different courts against offenders and realised fine amounting to Rs. 26.92 lakh. In 2015, the corporation had filed 2,299 court cases against offenders and collected Rs. 32.77 lakh in fine.

Last year, the BMC had served notices to Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and singer Amit Kishore Ganguli for not taking steps to prevent mosquito-breeding in their residential premises.

After the BMC’s action on Friday, Shahid expressed concern over mosquito-breeding at his premises and thanked the civic body for the inspection.

Shahid Kapoor looks as hot as ever even after a tiring workout session!

We haven’t been getting much to see of Shahid Kapoor after his last release Udta Punjab. He is one of the most active actors on social media too, but lately for some reason, Sasha hasn’t been posting a lot of stuff online. We wonder what is he up to! Last night the Shaandaar actor was spotted in Bandra, this time, without his wife Mira. Sporting a rugged look, wearing a hairband and a cool black tee, Shahid was casually dressed as he had just got out of his Bandra gym. And we ought to say, even after a tiring workout session at the gym, he looks as hot as ever! Don’t you think so?

With us getting to see so less of him, we think Shahid is probably busy taking lessons on fatherhood or probably he’s just trying to spend as much time with Mira as possible since she is pregnant. Yes, he is going to become a father soon and Mira’s due in September. Woah! Now that’s not even a month away! No wonder Mira isn’t making any appearances too! With the date inching closer, we just cannot wait to hear the good news and social media being flooded with the first pictures of their baby!

Nobody is indispensable, but there’s place for everybody: Shahid Kapoor

In the past couple of years, he has proven his talent with back-to-back strong performances in films such as Haider (2014) and Udta Punjab, which was released this year. Shahid Kapoor admits that the influx of younger talent keeps him on his toes.
“And ideally it should, because putting your head inside the sand, and assuming that mere aas-paas toh koi nahin hai aur main akela hi hoon (there’s no one like me, and I’m the only one) is stupid. It’s important to see the surroundings, and use them positively to do better work,” says Shahid.

The Jab We Met (2007) star admits that “nobody is indispensable in this industry”. He says, “There’s place for everybody. And there will always be somebody new around the block. So, people who are new today will see newer actors coming in, and then they will feel the same thing, which is totally normal.”

Shahid feels actors need to do good films as the audience wants “value for money”. He says, “You have to constantly give people good movies, and when you do that over a long period, a certain amount of loyalty and credibility develops, and you are viewed accordingly.”

Shahid Kapoor to play Deepika Padukone’s husband?

Rumours are doing the rounds that actor Shahid Kapoor has been reportedly roped in to play Deepika Padukone’s on screen husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming classic tale ‘Padmavati.’
SpotBoye quoted a source, as saying, “Bhansali wants Shahid to play the Chittor King who is married to Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh.”
Needless to say if Shahid, 35, accepts the role, ‘Padmavati’ would mark his first collaboration with Bhansali and also with Ranveer Singh and Deepika.
However, earlier it was reported that initially a television actor was signed to play Deepika’s husband in the film, but the actress didn’t approve of it.

Reportedly, the ‘Piku’ actress and Ranveer would not be seen sharing any scenes together in the film. Deepika would be sharing some intimate scenes with her husband in the movie, and therefore, wants a bigger star to play her on-screen husband.
Prakash Kapadia, who earlier scripted ‘Bajirao Mastani’, has reportedly been roped in to write ‘Padmavati’, which would see Ranveer playing the obsessed Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji.
The shooting of the movie is likely to go on the floors in September.
