Alia Bhatt Chooses Shahid Kapoor Over Farhan Akhtar?

Due to dates problem Alia Bhatt gets in to deliberation, which involves her, father Mahesh Bhatt also.

The talented and first choice of every director, Alia Bhatt chooses to do Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udata Punjab’ over Rock On 2 in 2015. Alia plays lead role opposite to Shahid Kapoor after doing her first movie ‘Shaandar’ with him.
It was said Abhishek Chaubey had offered Priyanka Chopra as a lead for Udta Punjab opposite to Shahid.
At the same time Alia was offered Shujaat Saudagar’s Rock On 2 but due to same timing of shoot Alia Bhatt choose Udta Punjab and not Rock On 2.

It is possible that Alia Bhatt choose choose to do Udta Punjab because Rock On 2 has an ensemble cast which would give less importance to her role. Alia Bhatt was offered role of that girl of the band member who replaces Luke Kenny whose character died in ‘Rock On’.
Alia Bhatt says she wanted some challenging movie like Udta Punjab which test her abilities and where its chance again to be opposite to Shahid, then why not?
